York Fest Lupe Fiasco Concert

Every year the York Federation of students hosts a free concert for all new and returning York students. In the past the YFS has brought in artists like K'naan, Keri Hilson and Nas; this year we were lucky enough to have Lupe Fiasco preform.

I've been at York now for going on six years and, this is the first York Fest concert that I've attended. I must say, apart from a long line to get in the concert was AMAZING!

The pre-show by DJ Clymaxxx was really good, I especially liked the fact that he made it a point to play music that would appeal to the entire audience instead of just playing to one crowd. His show was really good and got the crowd pumped up for Lupe Fiasco.

Lupe arrived on time and although he started his set a little late he was super energetic and was really making an effort to connect with the crowd. We laughed, we cried, we danced, we sang, we were daydreaming, we were all superstars and although the show ran a little over time, the show must go on.

I had a great time at the concert and I think that everyone else there had a good time as well, if you weren't there you definitely missed a great show!
